TESCO Specialty Vehicles is proud to help Bowling Green State University (BGSU) introduce its mobile health outreach program. Along with the Wood County Health Department, accessible healthcare is now available to the BGSU community. Services include screenings, at-home COVID-19 test kits, hygiene supplies, and more. Insurance, ID, and payment are not required as that may be a barrier to some residents.
The program is led by O’Leo Loki, the outreach coordinator for the First Presbyterian Church and a graduate assistant at BGSU. Loki initiated this project during an internship, recognizing a significant need for affordable healthcare, particularly among international students. The outreach will bridge gaps in primary healthcare access and provide referrals for mental health and dental services.
The inaugural session of the mobile health outreach saw a massive turnout. This turnout underscores the community’s demand for accessible healthcare solutions. By eliminating barriers, the program will make sure health services are within reach for everyone at the university.
